About Taradale
Taradale township is located in Heart of Wine Country and is one of the most frequented locations in Hawke's Bay. The Hawke's Bay region attracts over 1 million tourists a year with visitors spending an estimated $400 million, mostly on accommodation and food. Tourism is a rapidly growing income opportunity with private visitor nights in Hawke's Bay recording the largest increase in New Zealand of 24.2%. Taradale’s proximity to Napier, the Port and the Airport provides significant opportunities to take advantage of the booming tourist market and secure a higher percentage of the tourist dollar in the Taradale township. Taradale is a prosperous, established community nestled against the hills in an area rich in wine heritage dating back as far as the 1850’s. Two of the most famous vineyards in Hawkes Bay, Mission Estate and Church Rd are located in the area and together attract over 300,000 tourists annually. | | ![]() |
